“I am immensely proud that the Board of Directors of IFA decided to entrust such responsible duty to a representative of Polish chemical industry. For me, it is another tremendous challenge, as the organization itself is tremendous. IFA represents international fertilizer industry and decisions taken by the association have influence on the entire world,” said Mr Jarczewski.

The main purpose of the IFA’s Technical & SHE Committee is to promote efficient production, as well as safety of storage and transportation of fertilizers. The goal of the Committee is also to exchange technical knowledge and draw up industry standards which will contribute to continuous improvement of fertilizer industry.

IFA is an international organization which at the moment is composed of over 500 members from 85 countries. IFA member companies represent all operations connected with production, trade, transportation and distribution of all sorts of fertilizers which are nowadays produced all around the world in the amount of some 170 million of tones per year. They are used across the globe to support agricultural production. They constitute essential element of striving for sustainable development of agriculture and food safety in the world. This is why IFA activities are so important and why being the member of IFA is considered to be such great honor. 

In 2011-2013 Mr Paweł Jarczewski was also a Vice-President of Fertilizers Europe, being the first President from the Central and East Europe who held such a high position in the hierarchy of this organization.
